Airlines will allow us to hold a reservation for 24 hours, but the fare is not guaranteed. The fare is stored in the record for ticketing on the day it is booked. If you confirm the next day, our ticketing team will re-store the fare for ticketing and there is the possibility the fare may change. You will be contacted by the ticketing team to approve the new fare if that happens. If it is the same fare, we will continue with issuing the ticket. The best practice for maintaining the quoted fare is to confirm with payment the same day.
